The New York Times calls Hillsdale, N.J.: The ‘Goldilocks’ of Pascack Valley. The Bergen County borough strikes a balance between its immediate neighbors: It’s not too busy or quiet, too big or small, too cheap or expensive.
What You’ll Find
Hillsdale is about 25 miles from Times Square and convenient to the Garden State Parkway, which cuts through its western end. You will see a community of well-kept single-family homes on spacious lots – colonial style homes, ranches and split-levels are in abundance, and there is a large supply of condos. Neighborhoods are verdant and most lack sidewalks which gives Hillsdale a country feel – which is why most people relocate to Hillsdale in the first place. They have a wonderful, diverse school district with 2 Elementary Schools and a middle school. Student then transfer to Pascack Valley High School in 9th grade to complete their secondary schooling.
